Appearance and PersonalityEdit

Physical AppearanceEdit

Maid Marian is a beautiful, slender red vixen, with brown eyes, and a bushy tail. She normally wears a purple headdress and dress with puffy crimson sleeves, lavender shawl, white bloomers, and purple shoes.

Maid Marian is a very ladylike person, but also a little timid, and is described as a nice and kind person, despite living with an evil person (Prince John). On the other hand, both he and King Richard happen to be her uncles, though biologically, this is impossible. The only possibility is that either Maid Marian's mother was their foster sister, or her father was their foster brother. Maid Marian is also very loving.

  • Maid Marian is the only female character from "Robin Hood" to ever wear shoes on her feet, while other females from that film go barefoot; however, in the storyboard for the darker, alternate ending, Marian is shown to be barefoot, such as when she greets King Richard with a hug.
  • Maid Marian is the second Disney heroine to have first known the hero in childhood, separated for a long time, and reunited with him, the first being Faline, and the third being Nala. Maid Marian, however, isn't shown with Robin Hood in childhood; instead, she just explains it, and later, while they are still separated, so does he. Aurora may or may not count as the second (leaving Marian as third and Nala as fourth) as she is met by Prince Phillip as a young boy, and yet, she was an infant... so he may have known her, and not the other way around. Also, Aurora wasn't grown up when she was reunited with him, only sixteen years of age... so, that's a reason Aurora may not count as one of them.
